This simple oven baked broccoli recipe is made with some cheddar cheese coating and comes out really cheesy, tasty and crispy. Enjoy as a snack, side dish or appetizer. Get your kids eating more broccoli and veggies by dressing them up a bit and making it more interesting. Broccoli may not be everyone’s favorite vegetable, not just kids, but how you prepare it will make a huge difference in the taste. I love this so much and we mostly enjoy it alongside some grilled chicken or grilled salmon.

My Pro Tip

Recipe Tip

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Broccoli good for you?

Broccoli itself is a very healthy vegetable to add to your diet. Whether they are baked, steamed, or roasted. According to Healthline, broccoli is full of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, K, and A, folate, calcium, and iron. They are high in fiber which helps with digestion and low in calories!

Is it better to boil or bake broccoli?

I prefer steaming, stir-frying, or baking broccoli. It is believed that boiling broccoli will cause it to lose some of its health benefits like chlorophyll, vitamin C, and total carotenoids.

Why is my broccoli soggy in the oven?

Broccoli holds a lot of water. You may have used frozen broccoli or the broccoli still had a lot of water when you washed it. Try using fresh broccoli if possible and pat the broccoli dry really well with a paper towel
