Here is a list of ingredients you will need to make these garlic chicken bites. Whether you have these handy at home or you need to make a quick run to the store. The full measurements are listed further down below in the recipe card.
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast: you may use boneless and skinless chicken thighs but I much prefer chicken breasts.
- Flour – any flour will work
- Dried oregano
- Salt and pepper
- Oil – olive oil or any other oil you prefer cooking with
- Garlic cloves – best to use fresh but you may also use garlic powder
- Honey or maple syrup
- Low sodium soy sauce
- White wine vinegar
- Hot chili sauce or sriracha
- Fresh parsley to garnish
- Sesame seeds to garnish
How to make honey garlic chicken bites
- Season the chicken: Add the chicken to a large Ziploc bag together with flour, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix through the bag to evenly coat all the chicken pieces.
- Cook the chicken: Heat the oil in a large frying pan, over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook on all sides until golden brown, for about 8-10 minutes in total. You may need to cook the chicken in batches, to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Mix the honey garlic sauce: Meanwhile, in a small jug add the garlic, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha or hot chili sauce. Mix well to combine.
- Add sauce in with the chicken: Once the chicken is done cooking, pour over the garlic honey, and stir to completely coat; allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes to meld all the flavors.
- Serve and enjoy: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
