  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast: you may use boneless and skinless chicken thighs but I much prefer chicken breasts.
  • Flour – any flour will work
  • Dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil – olive oil or any other oil you prefer cooking with
  • Garlic cloves – best to use fresh but you may also use garlic powder
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Low sodium soy sauce
  • White wine vinegar
  • Hot chili sauce or sriracha
  • Fresh parsley to garnish
  • Sesame seeds to garnish

How to make honey garlic chicken bites

  • Season the chicken: Add the chicken to a large Ziploc bag together with flour, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix through the bag to evenly coat all the chicken pieces.
  • Cook the chicken: Heat the oil in a large frying pan, over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook on all sides until golden brown, for about 8-10 minutes in total. You may need to cook the chicken in batches, to avoid overcrowding the pan.

  • Mix the honey garlic sauce: Meanwhile, in a small jug add the garlic, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha or hot chili sauce. Mix well to combine.
  • Add sauce in with the chicken: Once the chicken is done cooking, pour over the garlic honey, and stir to completely coat; allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes to meld all the flavors.
  • Serve and enjoy: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

  • The serving size is 1/4 of the chicken bites
  • Goney can be substituted with maple syrup.
  • Any other oil will work in place of olive oil. Try grapeseed oil or avocado oil
  • Use fresh garlic if possible. Garlic powder will work too but not as flavorful. Use 1 tablespoon in place of the fresh garlic.
  • Do not overcook the chicken or they will dry out and get rubbery.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Kosher salt and ground pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon sriracha/hot chili sauce, or to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • sesame seeds, For garnish: optional

Instructions
