Common Questions

Can I use Greek Yogurt instead of sour cream?

Yes. You can always use a 1:1 swap. If you want a looser texture that mimics the sour cream texture, just whisk in a little lemon juice or water with the Greek yogurt.

what’s the best type of yogurt to cook with?

I would only recommend cooking with plain Greek yogurt and staying away from sweetened and vanilla Greek yogurt unless you are baking. Low-fat plain Greek yogurt is my favorite for savory recipes.

Does Greek Yogurt Freeze Well?

It freezes just fine. But the texture may change once frozen and thawed. If the texture changes, you can use the thawed yogurt in cooked dishes, not dips.

How long does Greek yogUrt last in tHE fridge?

Most Greek yogurt tubs last 1–2 weeks after opening in the fridge. Always check the smell and texture before using.
