If you’ve never tried the popular In-N-Out Sauce from the fast food chain, you’re in for a real treat with this recipe. You do not need to go out and get these when you can actually make them at home! Yay! My kids are all into these different sauces and get really excited when I make them. This sauce is just a basic Thousand Island-style dressing with mayonnaise, ketchup and sweet pickle relish. But I also love adding in honey 🍯, Dijon mustard and white vinegar for a flavorful condiment that complements almost anything. I much prefer this Version and I think you will too.

Recipe Summary

  • Quick and easy to make: Making this spread is as simple as stirring together common ingredients. It can be whipped up in less than 5 minutes!
  • Customizable: You can easily adjust the ingredients and amounts to suit your personal taste preferences.
  • Versatile usage: This is perfect for adding flavor to burgers and French fries, but it’s also great with grilled meats, vegetables, and sandwiches. I love to use this as a dipping sauce too!

My Pro Tip

Recipe Tip

  • Substitute for mayo: You can substitute the mayo with Greek yogurt. We tested it and it tasted great.
  • Chill: If you have the time, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to a few hours before serving to allow all of the flavors to mingle and intensify for the best flavor.
  • Bring the heat: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if you want it spicy
  • Make it smoky: Add about 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke for a smoky flavor.
