I have a similar recipe for chocolate fruit dip that is also made with Greek yogurt, so I decided to make a different version of it that tastes more like cheesecake, and thus, this recipe was born.

To make this strawberry cheesecake fruit dip, I whipped Greek yogurt and low-fat cream cheese with vanilla protein powder and honey until fluffy. It’s then topped with a swirl of strawberry preserves for that perfect finish. The Greek yogurt and whey protein combo packs in extra protein to keep you full longer.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Strawberry Cheesecake Dip. The full amounts are in the recipe card down below.

ingredients to make strawberry cheesecake dip.
  • Vanilla Greek yogurt: I like 2% Vanilla based Yogurt here, but you can use Plain Greek yogurt and add a bit of vanilla extract.
  • Low-fat cream cheese: Let it sit out and soften up completely.
  • Vanilla whey protein powder: Use your favorite brand, but vanilla is needed for that realistic cheesecake flavor.
  • Honey: You may also use agave or maple syrup.
  • Sugar-free strawberry preserves: Use whatever brand you love here, and regular jam is totally fine if you’re not worried about sugar. Pick one with nice, big fruit chunks for the best swirl.
  • Dippers: Fresh strawberries, banana slices, apple slices, graham crackers, pretzels, or vanilla wafers – whatever’s in the kitchen wins.

Variations & Tips

  • Let it chill longer (like 30+ minutes) if you want a thicker dip. Perfect when you’re making it ahead of time for the company.
  • Swap in strawberry- or berry-flavored Greek yogurt for an extra fruit kick, then cut back on the preserves.
  • Sprinkle with crushed graham crackers for a cheesecake-crust crunch.
  • Spoon it into little mason jars, top with fresh berries, and you’ve got individual treats that look a little fancy.

Common Questions

Why is my dip lumpy?

Probably because the cream cheese wasn’t soft enough before mixing. Let it sit out 30-60 minutes next time, or microwave in 10-second bursts (stirring between) until soft but not melted.

Can I skip the protein powder?

Sure, it still tastes fantastic without it if you do not want the added protein or the flavor of protein powder in the dip. The powder just adds that protein boost, so ditch it if you like.

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

Yes, up to 3-4 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate it, but swirl in the strawberry preserves right before serving to keep the colors fresh and prevent bleeding.

How do I store leftovers?

In an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. Stir if it firms up, refresh the preserves swirl before serving.

Can I make it vegan-friendly?

Yes, you can. Simply use dairy-free yogurt, plant-based protein powder, maple syrup or agave, and a vegan-friendly cream cheese option.
