Frequently asked questions

Can uncooked salmon patties be frozen?

Yes, you can absolutely prepare your salmon patties ahead and freeze them for later use. Remember not to cook the patties first, they need to remain uncooked. Place on a baking sheet and place in the freezer for about an hour. Once frozen, remove and wrap each of the patties with a plastic wrap and place in a resealable freezer bag. They can be stored for up to one month.

Can I use canned salmon?

Canned salmon will technically work, especially if you get the good kinds. But I have to say that using fresh baked salmon will give you the best outcome.

How DO YOU store salmon patties?

If you have leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You may freeze for up to 3 months.

How DO YOU reheat salmon patties?

If the patties are frozen, allow them to thaw in the fridge the night before. Reheat in the microwave for 45-60 seconds until they are heated through. You may also reheat in a toaster oven.

    1. I haven’t tested it without flour, but my first suggestion would be to use ground pork rinds in place of the oat flour. You need a bit of binder. Add a bit more almond flour.
