Ingredients needed

Here are the ingredients you will need to make this fluffy Jello. See my recipe tips below on how you can customize it.

ingredients to make yogurt fluffy jello.
  • 1 package sugar-free raspberry Jello: I used sugar-free raspberry flavor. You can use any flavor you like to make a different flavor every time.
  • 1 cup filtered water: Using 1 cup of water will give you that thick jello consistency. I like to add 1/4 cup of cold water to make it a bit less thick and more of a smooth, less jelly-like texture.
  • 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt: If you like, you can use vanilla-flavored yogurt or a dairy-free option.
  • Fresh raspberries, to garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 cup collagen powder or 1/4 cup of vanilla protein powder for added protein. Adding these will add a lot more protein (see notes)

How To Make Fluffy Yogurt Jello

process shot of adding water to a jello powder mix in a bowl and then mixing.

Heat 1 cup of water until it reaches the boiling point. Make sure you don’t leave it to boil, because it will evaporate and you’ll end up with less.

Pour the boiling water over the Jello and collagen powder (if using) and whisk by hand until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool down on the counter. (In my video, I didn’t use collagen or protein powder; they are optional.)

✏️ I used sugar-free raspberry-flavored Jello. Use any flavor you like

Once the jello mixture is room temperature, add the yogurt (must be room temperature as well or it may curdle!) and whisk until completely smooth. It will be bubbly at first. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes for the bubbles to disappear.

Pour the jello-yogurt mixture into 4 small serving cups. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set. Garnish with fresh raspberries and some whipped cream if you like.

✏️ Do not try to speed up the cooling process of the jello mixture by refrigerating it, as this will solidify the jello, and you won’t be able to incorporate the yogurt.

How To Make With Gelatin Powder Instead

If you prefer to use Gelatin powder over the Jell-O mix, you can do that, too. For a cleaner, less artificial version, follow the steps below.

  • Swap the Jello mix with 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder, like Knox.
  • You will need to use a sweetener. Add 2–3 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
  • For the flavor, use 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries. Strawberries will also work, or any other fruits of your choice.
  • To make the jello mix, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the gelatin powder over ¼ cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the hot over over the gelatin mixture. Whisk to completely dissolve.
  • Blend or mash the raspberries, add the maple syrup over the mashed raspberries, mix them together, and then add them to the gelatin water.
  • Mix well and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to cool fully, and then add in the Greek yogurt. Whisk again to fully incorporate.
  • Pour into cups or a dish and refrigerate for 2–4 hours until it sets.

Common Questions

Can I make it vegan?

Yes. If you can find a vegan-friendly gelatin or jello mix, you will just need to use a plant-based yogurt to make it fully vegan.

How long does it last?

You can store these covered in the fridge for up to 7 days.

Can I freeze it?

I do not recommend freezing. Gelatin does not freeze well. Also, the water in the mixture forms ice crystals, and once it’s thawed, the gelatin bond breaks down. You’ll likely end up with a grainy and watery texture instead of that smooth, creamy consistency.

Is it ok to use vanilla-flavored yogurt?

Yes. Vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt works just fine. Which is, in fact, what I used in my video.
