Ingredients you will need
- Ground chicken: get them store-bought and look for the leanest option or ground your own at home.
- Chives: if you have a hard time finding this, swap them with green onions and chop them small.
- Garlic cloves: use fresh if possible.
- Shredded cheddar cheese: you can use low fat.
- Low-fat mayo: or avocado oil-based mayo.
- No-sugar-added ketchup
- Olive oil or avocado oil, to grease the grill
- Salt and pepper
- Lettuce bun
- sliced Roma tomato
- Thinly sliced red onion
How to make Chicken Burgers
- Combine ingredients: First, in a large mixing bowl, combine, ground chicken, chives, garlic, cheese, mayo, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Shape the chicken patties: Next, divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into balls.
Flatten the balls into 1/2-inch-thick patties. If using an outdoor grill or a grill pan, brush the grill grates with some oil and preheat for 5 minutes. - Grill: Then, place the burgers onto the preheated grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until charred and cooked through.
- Seve and enjoy: Finally, serve the patties in lettuce buns with any toppings you desire!

- You may use avocado oil or any other bland tasting oil in place of olive oil
- Use lean ground turkey instead of chicken for a leaner and even healthier option
- Use light shredded cheese, any cheese would work.
- Place leftovers in a container and store them in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat the burger patties in the microwave when ready to eat. You can freeze the patties for up to 3 months.
- If you want to serve these with actual buns for a wholesome chicken burger dish, go right ahead.

Ingredients
- 1.2 pound ground chicken meat
- 3 tablespoons chopped chives
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2/3 cup low-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons low-fat mayo
- 2 tablespoons no-sugar-added ketchup
- 1 tablespoons olive oil, to grease the grill
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
To serve with:
- lettuce, for buns
- sliced Roma tomato
- Thinly sliced red onion
- low-fat mayo
- no-sugar-added ketchup

DELICIOUS! Just got done eating it, and OH MY! So flavourful and juicy, I will most definitely do it again. One thing, I did not add cheese nor any extra mayo or ketchup. (Just added the amount required of ketchup and mayo, when mixing.) Next time, I will add everything, and I know it will be 3x better!
