Fresh and juicy turkey burgers made with spinach and feta cheese. These burgers are so juicy, easy to make, packed with flavor, and pan-grilled. Garnish with your favorite fixings such as cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki sauce.
I like switching things up and making burgers with meats other than ground beef, and these Turkey burgers I made with feta cheese are savory, tender, juicy, and so delicious. I cooked these on the stovetop in under 30 minutes, and I promise the entire family will love them. With minimal ingredients, you will want to make these burgers all the time!
Turkey Feta Burgers
It is always nice to get creative when it comes to making burgers. Most time, I want to switch things up, so I use ground chicken breast. I just make my own at home. The feta cheese provides savory notes that are irresistible. You can either grill these outdoors when the weather permits or bake them.
Recipe Overview
Ingredients Needed
Below is a quick list of the ingredients you will need and what you can use for substitutes. Full measurements are listed further down below in the recipe card.
Ground turkey: I like ground turkey because you can get them really lean, but alot of times I swap this with ground chicken.
Frozen spinach: Frozen spinach can be found in most grocery stores in the frozen veggie sections. I sometimes freeze my own. You can also use fresh.
Feta cheese: Don’t like feta? use any other crumbly cheese.
Salt and pepper
Garlic– add so much flavor. You can swap with 2 teaspoons of garlic powder.
Egg: Used as a binder, you could swap this with 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs.
Lemon juice
Olive oil or avocado oil
For serving: Whole wheat buns, sliced tomatoes, lettuce leaves, sliced cucumber, tzatziki sauce.
How to make it
These instructions will be on the recipe card further down below.
Step 1: Place the turkey, thawed spinach, feta cheese, salt, pepper, garlic, egg, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
Step 2: Using your hands or a spatula, mix well to combine.
Step 3: Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the pan.
Step 4: Cook for five to six minutes per side until cooked through.
Step 5: Serve the burgers immediately atop a whole wheat bun garnished with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and tzatziki sauce.
Tips from my kitchen
- Be sure to use oil in the pan to prevent the burgers from sticking.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to four days.
- If you prefer to use lean ground chicken instead of turkey, you can.
- Make sure the patties are cooked until done and no longer pink in the center.
- For a low-carb option, use lettuce as buns instead of the bread buns.

Hi, is it possible to form the patties then freeze them to cook at a later date? Thanks love the recipe
Hi. Yes you can certainly do that.
I loved this recipe! The burgers were delicious, moist, and lots of flavor. I used a tzatziki sauce recipe from allrecipes (I couldnโt find it on here) and they paired perfectly together. Yum!!
Amazing. Glad you liked it.
