Is Cabbage good for hair growth?

Like most other vegetables, cabbage is high in Vitamin A which is an antioxidant that helps in hair growth. I used cabbage for this Asian chicken recipe not to get my hair to grow longer but to switch things up from using regular lettuce for this recipe.

Is purple cabbage better for you than green?

Even though both cabbages are good for you, purple cabbage actually has about double the amount of vitamin C compared to the green cabbage. Did you know that red cabbage actually has more vitamin C than oranges? Won’t you just love eating this Asian Chicken recipe and get your daily dose of Vitamin C?

GROUND CHICKEN CUPS

Ground chicken is the perfect meat to use for the filling. This is one place where the relatively light and mild flavor of chicken is a boon — any other meat could make this dish too rich. The texture of ground chicken (or turkey) in this dish is perfect, just the right level of crispy and chewy, though you could mince some chicken breasts or thighs if you’d prefer.

What to serve with these cups

These Asian chicken cups are great on their own. However, you can serve these Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps over noodles or rice, or with a side of rice, it can be less messy and much easier for kids to eat with a spoon than wrapped in a piece of lettuce, but not as much fun! Either way, it’s delicious!

Recipe Notes and tips

  • Use a Wok, Sauté pan, or a cast-iron skillet. A wok is obviously great for Asian dishes, but you don’t have to use one.
  • Dice the vegetables very small. This is one of the keys to making sure every bite is bursting with both texture and flavor
  • Brown the chicken. Making sure the chicken is nice and crispy and brown is essential to the overall flavor and texture of this dish!
  • You can spice this up a bit by adding jalapenos.
