Frequently asked questions

Can I Save Leftover Green Beans?

You can absolutely save this dish’s leftovers to be enjoyed again the next day. Be sure to reheat and finish your leftover green beans within 5 days, though, as most green bean dishes only last 3 to 5 days as leftovers. These can be used as a snack to enjoy during the day or can even be baked into a casserole to give it new life while keeping the same flavor profile.

How Long Do roasted green beans take to make?

This roasted green beans dish will usually take less than thirty minutes to make, so if you are looking for a quick, simple, and affordable side dish, or even a snack, then this is the perfect recipe for you.

Can I Use a Different Cheese for roasted green beans?

You can absolutely use a different cheese if you prefer, but Parmesan is one of the best cheeses to pair with the flavor profile of the roasted green beans. Cheddar will give a sharper, more contrasting taste. Goat cheese is a good option, though, it can be expensive and it is a unique flavor for those who are unfamiliar. Swiss or Gruyere would also be good alternatives staying within the rich cheesy flavor realm. The closest Cheese to Parmesan would be grated Romano cheese. You could also use a non-dairy alternative for our lactose intolerant and vegan-friendly eaters.

What is the best way to reheat green beans?

The best way to reheat this dish and keep the texture and flavor would be to use the standard oven or the toaster oven. This way you can still keep the crispiness. It should not take more than a few minutes for the dish to reheat to its former glory.
