Optional: unsalted peanutsroughly chopped, blueberries, or crushed graham crackers
Instructions
To a colander, add the strawberries and gently wash them very well.
Pat dry with paper towels. Use a paring knife to cut the green parts and also a tiny bit of the tip; that will allow the strawberries to stand up on your platter.
Next, scoop out a bit from the inside of each strawberry, to make space for the filling.
Arrange the strawberries on your platter.
To a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, honey and vanilla. Mix them until smooth and creamy, then transfer to a pastry bag. Use your favourite tip to fill and decorate the prepared strawberries. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Use hard and fresh strawberries
You may use light cream cheese
If you prefer maple syrup over honey you may substitute it
Toppings: you can get creative with the toppings. Use any crushed nuts, crushed graham crackers, some fresh blueberries for some red, white, blue inspiration. You can even top them with some dark chocolate chips.
In place of cream cheese, another soft cheese you can use that would be the best substitute would be mascarpone.
You may store the filling in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
