1 1/2cupall-purpose flouror any other flour like oat or wheat
1/2cupvanilla whey protein powder
1teaspoonbaking powder
1teaspoonbaking soda
1/2teaspoonsalt
1teaspooncinnamon
1/2cupdark chocolate chipsplus 2 tbsp to top
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x5 pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together all the wet ingredients and set aside. (3 large ripe bananas, 1 egg, 1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup honey , 1/3 cup coconut oil, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract)
Into another medium bowl, add all the dry ingredients, except the chocolate chips. (1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon) Mix to combine.
Add the flour ingredients over the wet ingredients, using a spatula, and fold together to incorporate.
Add in the 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips(not the additional 2 tbsp) and mix again gently.
Add the batter to the bread pan and top with the additional chocolate chips (if using)
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow it to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool for another 10 minutes. Slice and enjoy.
Notes
You may use vanilla Greek Yogurt or Plain yogurt
Swap the honey with brown or coconut sugar.
Use sugar-free chocolate chips, or swap them with walnuts.
