Place one tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf on a skewer or toothpick.
Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Finish with salt and pepper and dried basil leaves if using.

For best results use cherry or grape tomatoes.
You can use mozzarella balls or slices of mozzarella.
Fresh mozzarella is great but you can use cubed marinated mozzarella if that's what's available.
Don't skip on the balsamic! It really brings out the flavor of the cheese and tomatoes.
If you want a really lovely presentation, go for little bamboo skewers instead of toothpicks - they look so lovely!
If you have big basil leaves, fold them over and skewer them. Easier to get them in your mouth
