Ingredients
2
cups
almond flour
2
teaspoons
baking powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/2
teaspoon
onion powder
or garlic powder
1
cup
Greek Yogurt
1
small
egg
beaten
Optional Topping:
Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, add the
2 cups almond flour
,
2 teaspoons baking powder
,
1/2 teaspoon salt
, and
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
.
Use a spatula to toss to combine.
Next, add in the
1 cup Greek Yogurt
.
Mix again to incorporate fully until dough is formed. It will not need a lot of mixing.
Transfer the dough to a cutting board or flat surface. Form a ball and divide it into 4 sections.
Make 4 balls and, using your finger, gently poke a hole in each one to form a bagel shape. Work carefully because the dough is soft and fragile.
Transfer the bagels to the sheet pan and top each one with some egg wash (from the
1 small egg
beaten) and
Everything bagel seasoning
.
Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown. Ovens vary, but they will need at least 20 minutes to fully cook on the inside.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool fully before slicing. You must allow them to cool, or the bagels won't hold their shape. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
The serving size is one bagel
You may use all-purpose flour in place of the almond flour, but I recommend using 1 and 1/4 cups instead.
I like adding onion powder, but you may either skip it or add garlic powder instead.
You can skip the Everything Bagel seasoning topping.
Allow the bagels to cool fully before attempting to slice them.
