Roasted Crispy Chickpeas Recipe

Perfectly roasted chickpeas that make for a perfect snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Garbanzo beans 15 oz
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  • Drain and rinse the garbanzo beans, remove any extra skins that start to come off.
  • Pat dry with a paper towel. Toss the beans in the olive oil, salt, and garlic powder until well coated.
  • Spread the beans in an even layer on the baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, stopping to stir the beans every 10-15 minutes.
  • The chickpeas are ready when they are golden brown
  • Remove and let cool completely before sprinkling with fresh cilantro and serving.

Notes

  • Use a preheated oven.
  • Be sure to line your baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Make sure to stir the beans every 10-15 mins during baking.
  • When the chickpeas are golden brown, they are ready.
  • Allow them to cool completely before serving.
  • For spicy crispy chickpeas, add some crushed chili flakes.
  • Top with some fresh cilantro or you can use parsley.
  • Roasted chickpeas are the best day of making, and they lose their crispiness as time goes on.
