Don’t have time to make breakfast before you head out the door? No need to worry. There are plenty of healthy snacks to eat on your way to work. These snacks are quick to fix, easy to hold, and simple to clean up. What more could you want? Read on to see some unique snack ideas to get you ready for your work day.

Fruit

Fruit is full of all kinds of healthy benefits, depending on what you like to eat. Most fruits are hefty fiber sources, making them great for digestive regulation at work. You can munch on some grapes, pomegranate seeds, blueberries, or other fruits on the way to work, even if you have to drive. Just get a plastic container that fits into your cup holder, and you can snack on your fruit while on the road.

Edamame

Edamame is a great source of fiber and protein, which means it will make you full in the morning without forcing you to eat a lot. You can buy frozen edamame to heat up in the microwave, or you could buy roasted edamame to eat like peanuts. Either option can be perfect for your morning snack.

Wraps

Make yourself a healthy breakfast burrito with a twist. Get some low salt flour tortillas at the store and or make them yourself at home. Spread almond butter on the inside of one and wrap it around a banana, or add peanut butter and fill it with apple slices. Roll it up like a burrito and you’re ready to go. You can play around with different combinations, and best of all, you won’t have a wrapper to throw away afterward.

Nuts

Just about any kind of nut you like is going to be a good snack before work. It will provide you with the protein you need to stay energized, and it will fill you up without weighing you down. You can mix walnuts and cashews with raisins and dried fruit to make your own trail mix to bring with you. The possibilities are endless, as are the health benefits you can get from them.

Granola

Whether you want to munch on a homemade granola bar or just eat some pre-made granola, you can get tons of great fiber in your system before you go to work. If you have time to actually sit down for breakfast, pour some milk on top to create your own cereal. Add some sliced bananas to the top for even more flavor, and you will be on your way to productivity in no time.
